1. I just started teaching. Can I still take this course?

Absolutely! This training is designed for both new and experienced teachers, especially if you’re looking for a hands-on, in-person, community-oriented learning experience.

You’ll gain the confidence, resources, and practical experience to lead transformational Yin Yang classes. We will go over sequencing, weaving in themes, and how to create transformational yoga classes.

I’m bringing nearly a decade of teaching into this, I’ve been walking this path and bring an applied knowledge lens from my experience & continuous studies. I love nerd-ing out on all things yin, TCM, elemental sequencing, modifications, and more. Happy to share the knowledge & help you develop confidence in your teaching.

2. Can I take this if I’m not teaching yoga?

Yes! You don’t need to be a teacher to join. Dedicated students, healers, pilates teachers, and aspiring teachers are all welcome.

If you’re curious about teaching yoga but not sure yet, this training is a perfect place to start. We’ll cover teaching foundations like sequencing, theming, cueing, and practice teaching, so you can begin shifting your mindset from student to teacher.

3. Why is this training in person and not online?

I chose an in-person format because there’s something powerful about learning together. You’ll benefit from real-time questions, hands-on practice, and deeper discussions that naturally unfold in community. This way, you don’t just learn the theory—you **experience the practices fully in your body** and learn from the energy and feedback of others in the room.

4. What if I can’t make the entire training?

Certificates are given to students who attend 90% of the live sessions and complete the assignments. If you want to attend part of the training you are welcome to do so for the same price.

After completing this training, you will be able to:

  • Embody the practice of Yin Yoga on a physical, energetic, and emotional level through the lens of the Five Elements

  • Design intentional and confidently guide meaningful, themed classes that integrate breathwork, meditation, and dharma in a way that resonates with students

  • Adapt, modify, and workshop Yin poses to create inclusive, accessible experiences for all bodies

  • Confidently guide meaningful, themed classes that integrate breathwork, meditation, and dharma in a way that resonates with students

  • Hold space with confidence and care, using trauma-informed approaches and inclusive language

  • Apply Yin Yoga philosophy, Yin–Yang theory, and the meridian system to deepen both your personal practice and teaching

  • Integrate a variety of cueing techniques to guide student back into their bodies and their breath

hey! i’m sylvie, yoga educator + yin yoga specialist

After finishing my 200hr YTT, I craved more guidance in planning and leading yoga classes. I wanted to create more depth and balance for my students. . It wasn’t until I took a Yin YTT in Spain in 2019 that things changed. That’s when my students began having deeper, more transformational experiences in my classes, and this is when I found my confidence as a teacher.

I’ve been developing this course over the last 7 years and I’m ready to hand over my knowledge.

I know how hard it can be to find your voice as a teacher. That’s why this training provides clear frameworks, practical tools, and mentorship from someone who’s been there.

With nearly a decade of teaching experience and 15 years creating workshops, I lead Yin Yoga and SUP Yoga Teacher Trainings, retreats, and classes across the globe. I specialize in hatha, yin, vinyasa, SUP yoga, and outdoor yoga, bringing the perspective of a seasoned educator to this course.

Teaching yoga can feel isolating without mentorship or a support system, which is why this course is in-person in Northern Ontario because community matters.

Training with me means you’ll gain mentorship, ready-to-use frameworks, and the confidence to teach with clarity and your authentic voice, so your classes can truly transform from the inside out.

"When I finished my 200hr YTT I honestly didn’t feel ready to teach. Sylvie’s mentorship gave me the confidence to put myself out there and start teaching. She met me where I was at and gave me hands-on, practical advice that got me out of my head and in front of a class. She breaks everything down into manageable steps so that you can truly find your voice as a teacher. Her laid back, easy going approach empowered me to step outside my comfort zone and trust in my abilities - which I often doubted. I am eternally grateful for Sylvie and her mentorship, it’s everything a new teacher needs and more. I have really grown and flourished with her guidance” Erika, Hatha Yoga, SUP Yoga, and Yoga Nidra Teacher with Rebel Soul "
