What if you stopped trying to find the right words… and simply listened to what your body already knows?
Join Sylvie of Rebel Soul and Erika Johnson of Creating Horizons for an evening of embodied movement, breathwork, and guided by creative expression with art invitations designed to help you slow down, turn inward and explore what’s beneath the surface.
We’ll begin with a grounding yoga practice, using breath, movement and stillness to bring our attention out of the thinking mind and into the wisdom of the body.
Rather than focusing on perfect shapes or doing things “right,” this practice is an invitation to get curious. To notice. To feel. To listen to your own inner embodied wisdom.
From there, Erika will guide you into an art-based exploration where you’ll have the opportunity to let that inner experience take shape through creative expression.
No artistic experience is needed. There is no right way to do this, and there’s no expectation to create something beautiful.
This isn’t about making art for anyone else. It’s about giving yourself permission to express what is already moving within you.
Think of it as exploring the forest within, the parts of yourself that may not always have words. The places that are changing, growing, resting, shedding and becoming. The seasons we all flow through in our lives.
Your body might know something your mind hasn’t quite caught up with yet.
This evening gives you space to listen.
Grounding yoga + embodied movement
Breathwork and mindful awareness
Guided creative expression
Time for reflection and self-inquiry
An invitation to explore your current inner landscape
A supportive, non-judgmental space to create
Time to connect, integrate and simply be
You do not need to consider yourself an artist. You do not need to be “good” at yoga. You just need to come curious. Come as you are. Move, feel, create and see what wants to emerge.

Sylvie Lamothe | Rebel Soul
Sylvie is a yoga teacher, educator, retreat leader and founder of Rebel Soul. With nearly a decade of teaching experience and over 500 hours of yoga teacher training, her approach to yoga goes beyond the physical practice.
Her work is rooted in the belief that yoga can be a pathway back to yourself, a way to slow down, get curious, listen inward and reconnect with what you already know. Through movement, breath, yoga philosophy, reflection and intentional experiences, Sylvie creates spaces that invite people to step outside of autopilot and into deeper connection with themselves.
Erika Johnson | Creative Horizon
Erika Johnson is an Art Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a BA in Art and Psychology from the University of Windsor and a diploma in Art Therapy from Kutenai Art Therapy Institute. She has lived and worked in Timmins and throughout Treaty 9 Territory and alongside the James Bay Coast for the past 10 years.
Erika’s connection to the land deeply informs both her artistic and therapeutic practice. When she isn’t working, you’ll often find her outdoors: snowmobiling, boating, 4-wheeling, harvesting, foraging, homesteading or simply existing amidst the woods.
Her approach is grounded in Anti-Oppressive, Holistic and Jungian frameworks, weaving together land-based, psychotherapeutic and artist-based invitations. At the heart of her work is a desire to slow down, truly listen to each person’s story and walk alongside them in their journey.
For Erika, artistic and therapeutic exploration is not something separate from everyday life. It is something that rumbles beneath it, an ongoing process of exploring who we are, what shapes us and how we relate to ourselves and the world around us.
