This document outlines the terms and conditions for the Into the Wild North Retreat: Backcountry Paddle Yoga Retreat taking place in Northern Ontario from Friday, August 7 to Sunday, August 9, 2026.
By registering for this retreat, you agree to the following terms.
To attend the Into the Wild North Retreat, you must:
Agree to pay the full retreat price per person as outlined in this document.
Complete and submit the online registration form.
Accept and agree to the terms and conditions in this document.
Submit the required non-refundable deposit at the time of registration to secure your spot and submit the balance on by the due date mentioned below.
Guided backcountry canoe/paddle board experience from August 7–9, 2026.
Shared canoes, tents, and group camping gear.
All meals from Friday lunch to Sunday lunch and snacks provided between meals.
PFD (Personal Floatation Device) aka Life jacket can be provided, you may also bring your own if preferred
Guidance and instruction from Sylvie and Mylène, including daily yoga, meditation, forest therapy, backcountry camping, and group connection activities.
Personal backcountry approved sleeping bag, sleeping pad/mattress, and pillow.
Personal clothing, toiletries, and gear (packing list provided after registration).
Transportation to and from the trip’s starting point (carpool options may be organized).
SUP Paddle Board and gear if you choose to bring your own board and not take a canoe

Retreat Investment:
Early Access Pricing: $950 +hst
Regular Retreat Price: $1,200 +hst
*Early bird pricing applies only to those who register and submit their deposit by December 12, 2025. Discounts cannot be transferred to another individual.
Payment Schedule:
Non-refundable deposit due at time of Registration: $300 +hst
Balance payment due on June 18, 2026
*Register before November 19, 2025 and get a complimentary Follow Her North Crew Neck as a special gift
Your spot is only confirmed once the deposit has been received. If the deposit is not received within 24 hours of the payment request, your space may be released.
Payments must be made according to the outlined schedule.
Failure to pay by the final balance due date may result in forfeiting your spot without refund.
Deposits and final payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Payments may be made via e-transfer or credit card
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of circumstances.
If you cancel:
Before June 18, 2026: All payments will be refunded minus the non-refundable deposit.
After June 18, 2026: No refunds will be issued.
If you cannot attend, you may find a replacement participant to take your spot. The new participant must complete registration and payment in full before any refund (minus a $25 admin fee) is issued to you. There are no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, or missing parts of the retreat. This policy includes cancellations for health, personal, or professional reasons.
Sylvie Lamothe and Mylène Coulombe-Gratton reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the retreat if minimum participant numbers are not met or if conditions make it unsafe to proceed (e.g., severe weather, fire bans, or park closures).
In the event of organizer cancellation, all payments will be refunded in full, excluding personal travel costs or insurance, which remain your responsibility.
If the retreat must be cancelled or postponed due to a force majeure event (e.g., extreme weather, natural disaster, government restriction, or other events beyond our control), we may offer a rescheduled date. Refunds will not be guaranteed in these cases; please ensure you have insurance to cover such incidences.
This retreat includes outdoor adventure activities such as canoeing, paddle boarding, portaging, and camping in a wilderness environment. This retreat also includes activities like yoga, meditation, and forest bathing. By registering, you acknowledge and accept all inherent risks involved in these activities, including those related to weather, terrain, water, and wildlife.
You agree to hold harmless Sylvie, Rebel Soul, and Mylene, Follow Her North for any injury, illness, loss, or damage incurred before, during, or after the retreat.
You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times. Neither the organizers nor partners are responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items during the retreat.
Substance-Free Experience
This retreat is a dry and sober experience, created with the intention of fostering a deep connection with nature, clarity of mind, and presence within the group. To support this, the use of alcohol, recreational drugs, or any substances that alter perception is not permitted during the retreat. We ask all participants to honor this agreement throughout the entire experience from arrival to departure so that everyone can fully immerse themselves in the healing, grounding, and transformative environment we’re creating together.
By attending this retreat, you consent to the use of any photos or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes (social media, websites, or marketing). If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify the organizers before the retreat begins.
For the wellbeing of the group, the organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from the retreat who behaves in a manner that is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful to others, without refund.
By submitting your registration and deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the above Terms and Conditions for the Into the Wild North Retreat hosted by Sylvie Lamothe (Rebel Soul) in collaboration with Mylène Coulombe-Gratton (Follow Her North).
